Andrew MacNaughton is a celebrated Canadian actor and singer with a distinguished record in musical theatre, concerts, and professional regional productions—especially in Chicago. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College and a Master of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Soon after graduating, Andrew was granted an O-1B visa, recognizing his exceptional artistic talent. Notably, he is a Jeff Award nominee for Performer in a Supporting Role (Musical) and an active AEA member. His extensive credits feature productions such as Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Jersey Boys, Young Frankenstein, Shrek the Musical, Matilda, White Christmas, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Groundhog Day. Throughout his career, Andrew has excelled in principal, featured, swing, understudy, and ensemble roles, consistently showcasing remarkable musicality, adaptability, and storytelling prowess.
Andrew is also an accomplished teaching artist and voice instructor. At Paramount School of the Arts and North Central College, he has taught acting, singing, musical theatre, audition technique, script analysis, and performance enhancement. His teaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, confidence, curiosity, collaboration, and creative risk-taking. Andrew provides performers with constructive feedback, practical tools, and a supportive environment to develop their talents on stage, in the studio, and in the classroom.
Andrew is currently enrolled in the Artist in Community Education (ACE) program at Queen’s University in Canada, a specialized pathway for practicing artists pursuing teacher education through arts-based methodologies. This enriching experience is deepening his practice by integrating performance, education, and community engagement. Andrew looks forward to sharing fresh ideas and updates in the near future.
